Glucose Test
I have a glucose test in the morning & I am very nervous this is my first pregnancy I guess that's why I really need advice...
I just had the drink, it was ok now I'm waiting an hour, thanks I hope I pass tho!
It's not that bad! You'll have to drink the glucose drink (usually orange flavor) in 5 minutes. It tasted very sweet to me and wasn't good at all but there's not that much of it & you're done drinking in 5 minutes. Wait an hour and then they will draw blood, or Ive heard some say they only did a finger prick. I had mine in the morning and was told to fast breakfast for best results. It seems like fasting for the one hour varies from doc to doc. I passed mine with no problems. I did have a sugar rush after the drink and by the afternoon I needed a nap. Out of all the things you go through in pregnancy, this test is a walk in the park!!
