1st Scan soon! is that possible to find out if is a boy or girl at 12 weeks?

Hi everyone, I am 10 weeks, baby is due on 2nd February, I've had my Midwife appointment and she said I can only find out if is a boy or girl on 20weeks scan. She said is too early to know that on the 12weeks scan, but I've seen a few women on blogs saying that they find out the baby's genre on 1st scan. So I don't know what to think anymore?
I would like to know your opinion, should I have some hopes to find out if is a boy or girl on my 1st scan ?
( I will be 13 weeks at that time)
Thanks x

Ask about the chromosome test they take blood from yuh and that's it I think the males give off a type of blood cells look more into it but I know it just takes blood from yuh so no risk I think yuh can do it 10weeks or more it depends

There is a blood test that can give the gender earlier than 20 weeks based on hormones. But it takes the 20 weeks for a male genetalia to form for an u/s to show the gender.
