would you consider this selfish?

I dont want my mother in law in the delivery room this time, she was there to see my firsy son, which was awkward for me because she watched the whole time. I didnt really want her in there then but she cried so I let her stay. this time she wants to be in there again. but i just want it to be me and my SO. does that make me selfish or should i just let her be in there?

Omg she is rude to even make you feel selfish it's your moment and whoever you want there is up to you ...

Definitely not selfish. I'd find it really weird having my mother in law in there. I'd have my mum for sure though. Just let her know you want it to be a private moment with your OH.

Its your special moment, so I think you should do as you please.
Maybe if its a different hospital or doctor, you can tell her they only allow one person with you))

I agree, I don't think it's selfish at all. I don't really even want my own mother in there. I know that sounds bad, but I just want my fiancé with me because I want it to be about us and our family. I think it's a very intimate moment.
