Jacob is 11 days old already

Gosh, I can't believe that it has 11 days. I am recovering very well after the c-section and am already starting to think about exercise. I can't wait to get back into my running shoes (although it may just be to walk at first). I am hoping to do my next mini-marathon in April. My midsection reminds me of jello at this point. I could swear that after my first (10 years ago) that I was able to fit back into my pre-pregnancy jeans by now. Right now, I can fit into my pre-pregnancy fat pants, but they are still a bit tight. I am guessing that is cause of the c-section. My incision site is looking good, except on the left, it looks like the skin is overlapping and it feels hard. I had the nurse look at it the other day and she said it looked good.

Jacob's tear ducts are blocked which makes his eyes all crusty when he gets up from a nap. I have a routine for the little guy at night and it has been helping him sleep good at night. I start preparing for a bath at 7:30 and by 8:00 he's had a sponge bath. We then rub him down with that sleep better baby lotion. Then I nurse him and he is out like a light. He then stays asleep until about 11:30 pm. I change him and nurse again and then he is out until about 3:00 am when I change him and nurse him again and then he is up again at about 5:30 am. There have been a few exceptions to this rule, but things have been going fairly well. Now if I can just his little eye balls clean and clear.

Glad you and your baby are doing so well!  Thanks for sharing your routine.  I'll try it when my baby comes.

Glad to hear that things are going well!  Your story sounds similar to mine.  My belly is very jello like right now, very jiggly, I am also assuming that it is from the c-section. Corinne's tear ducts were blocked, the doctor had us massage the corners of her eyes, near her tear ducts with a warm q-tip, and it has all but resolved the problem, it is much better.  The hospital sent home the erythromycin that they used right after birth, the doctor had us use that on her outer lids, I just put down a little ribbon when her eyes were closed, and it helped keep them from sticking together....  maybe those things would help you?
