New Here

Hey everyone. I'm currently 8 weeks pregnant with my 2nd child. Unfortunately for me pregnancy is never smooth or easy.  I currently take lovenox injections for a blood clotting disorder - which i found out i had when pg with my daughter.  I have had 3 u/s already and the last one had a h/b of 157 and the baby was measuring perfectly.  Since my internal last friday i have been spotting this brown discharge.  I've had 2 m/c so i'm on edge already. By Monday (3 days of spotting) I called my doc and they said to go to the ER to make sure i did not have another subchoronic hematoma ( I had one with my daughter).  All was fine and baby was doing well with a stong heartbeat.  I know that i will bleed more than nomal b/c of the lovenox but this brown spotting is driving me batty. Anyone been on lovenox and had brown spotting?  With my daughter i did not go on lovenox until 11 weeks and i never had an internal after that. I'm assuming this is all stemming from the internal, the pap, etc. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Thanks for the info - i feel a bit better now. Everytime i go to the ER it's the same thing "sorry don't know where it's coming from" and "we don't see any blood".  What you said makes total sense. I take the needles in my upper legs/tush area.  My hematologist said it's ok. My belly was getting wrecked - i did it in the legs almost the entire time with my daughter and it worked well.  I don't know if your doc will allow it but it's soooo much better. I also ice my leg for about 20 minutes and you barely feel it. Hope this helps and thanks for the info!  1 day at a time !!

I am currently on Lovenox!  I am glad there is someone else in the belly needle club! I had brown spotting earlier on, but nothing in the past two weeks or so. I too went to the ER and had an internal exam, this was 2 weeks ago. As soon as the doctor touched my cervix with a swab, it bled. She said this happened because it it naturally engorged with blood from the pregnancy, and because I will bleed easier on the Lovenox. Cervical bleeding in no way endangers the baby. Usually from what I hear cervical bleeding will be seen extrernally as brown blood because it lingers around the cervix for awhile. It is no problem.  I understand your anxiety, I have had 2 m/c's in a row, no babies yet.  I will be 8 weeks Monday and cry almost every night just from worry : /     We will get to January together  ; )

Cheesecake7 is on Lovenox I believe. I am currently 5w6d pregnant with what will be my 3rd child. My last two pregnancies have ended in m/c's as well so I understand just how you feel. I haven't had my u/s yet and wont until June 19th and by then I'll be about 8w5d so I'm sure/hoping there is a heartbeat! Congrats on your journey through the next 9 months! May they be healhty and happy ones :)
