No Embryo in Sac!!!! Need Opinions

Okay girls so here's the situation. I had my last cycle on April 21 after having a miscarriage in Feb.  I got my cycle by taking provera. Okay so before the miscarriage I normally have irregular cycles but with the first pregnancy I guess I had a regular 28 day cycle.  I went to the doctor on May 22nd thinking I was 4 weeks.  My hcg levels were 466 and proges. 22. On june 5th I went back to the doctor at what I think 6weeks and there was no embryo they said the sac was too small to have a embryo in it.  They took blood work and my hcg levels went to 7,000 and something but my proges. dropped to 10 and I was put on promentrium.  I think its a blighted ovum but the doctor continues to say the sac isn't big enough yet to dignose that as of yet and says I could have ovulated late but that just makes no sense to me. The hubby and I had love on May 5 then 10 then 17th. I'm so confused and upset but trying to hold it together.  I feel it will be a blighted ovum but I want to have hope its just hard since the first miscarriage.  I have NO symptoms at all I can literally go all day and not eat and I won't even feel so much as light headed.  Please help has this happen to ANYONE? Your story would be greatly appreciated!!!!

I am so sorry for your loss. I know it is really hard. I myself have miscarried twice. Once in December 2006 and again in March 2008. I am pregnant again so it is possible. This third time seems to be the charm. Maybe that will be the case with you as well. If you need someone to talk to feel free to PM. One of my miscarraiges was a blighted ovum. It is really hard because you feel pregnant and your body acts pregnant but nothing grows other than the sac. Again, I am sorry for your loss. Take care.

Also, you might try going to the pregnancy 21-34 forum and then clicking on the health pages. I posted a guide about early ultrasound (what they can and can't see and at which weeks), HCG guide (what your levels will be during certain weeks), and progesterone (what your levels will be during each trimester). Here's a link just in case:

my first u/s at 5 weeks showed only a sac, then at 6 weeks we saw my baby with h/b. i know sometimes it can take a few weeks to see the embryo. your prog dropping doesnt look like a very good sign (from my past experience) similiar experience happend to me when i m/c but my levels NEVER even got to 7,000 so you just may be okay!! your levels are not doubling quite every 48 hours but they are high so that is a good sign. only time will tell. hang in there. ive gone through 2 m/c..one of them being a blighted ovum and its so not fun. try to relax.

It may be too early to see the embryo till you hit 7 weeks.  I know that this is very stressful (my first u/s showed no embryo either) but there is no other way of knowing for sure what's going on but waiting.  Hang in there!
