When...

Okay, I was on the pill for years, my last "pill" period was sometime in Feb.  I took one week of pills then my husband and I decited to TTC.  AF came March 28th and then on April 20th (spotting late in the PM) or 21 (real flow).  So I figured the same 23/24 day cycle for this month which meant AF was due this past Tues or Wed.  I tested a BFN on Tues.  After playing with the dates, if I figure a "normal" 28 days cycle, AF should come on Monday the 19th.  I guess I'm asking oppinions on testing again.

Thanks...we are the Brady bunch, 3 boy & 3 girls, I have 2 and my husband has 4 and 4 are still at home.  This is both of our first "planned" pregnancy.  All before were surprises.  Both of mine were BC babies.  I have the charts and getting the thermometer when AF starts and plan to start tracking then.  I'll probably get a OPK too.  We were going on the 23 day cycle and thought I was to OV around the 29th of April so we BD around that time as much as possible.  Then I thought about the 28 cycle day and that would mean that I would have OV around the 5th of May.  So we were trying to remember if we BD around that time.  Very possible but can't pinpoint any specific days.
Anyway, maybe I'll just wait until after Monday to test.  I have none in the house right now to tempt me...LOL.
Thanks for the tips and yes, I hope and pray I don't need them!

You need to try and figure out when you are ovulating, because your AF will show up about 14 days after that.  Not every woman has a perfect 28 days cycle, so you cant assume AF will come at the same time each month.  But, once you can pin down when you are ovulating you will have a greater chance of concieving because you can make sure you BD at the right times. You need to make sure that you BD before you ovulate, not after because it is then too late.

1. Use OPK's-  They are little sticks that you are pee on, you can buy them at the store, and once you get a positive on them you can safely assume you will ovulate within 48 hours.

2. Take you BBT, your temperature at the same time each day in the morning before you get out of bed. Although this will only tell you that you ovulated after it happens, you can use that to help you see a pattern over a few months. For instance, when looking back on my charts over several months I was able to see that I usually ovulated 16 days after AF started.

I know that doesnt exactly answer your question, but before you can know when to test you have to know when you ovulated, and these things can help.  TTC can be frustrating, but hang in there it will happen. I hope it does for you this month then you wont need any of my tips!  I would just test again in 3-4 days and cross your fingers.  Let us know how it turns out!
