no heart beat 6-8 weeks need advice

i went to the obgyn 2 weeks ago and they said i was 6 weeks pregnant, i went back yesterday and was supposed to be 8 weeks but they said i was only 6 weeks again and they couldnt see the baby or hear a heart beat does this mean i'm having a miscarrage i did spot a LITTLE bit of blood but it was a very light pink or a light brown  but i had no cramping or pain at all what does all this mean? i am so scared me and my husband have been trying to get pregnant for about a year this would be our first child and we were so excited is there any hope that everything could be okay or should i just prepare my self for the worst someone please help answer my question i'm freaking out and really scared... i would really appreciate it if anyone had any advice or information on my situation thank you and god bless you all!!!

well if you arnt sure about when you ovulated then there is a good chance your dates are just off.  A heartbeat is sometimes hard to see at 6 weeks but at 7 is almost visable.  A healthy pregnancy at 6 weeks would at least have a fetus that could be seen.  Do you have any idea when you ovulated?   When was your last period?

I am so so sorry alymag. The same thing happened to me 6 months back.. we concvd after trying for a yr and the baby was measuring 6 weeks when I should have been 8. There was no hb either. However we waited out another week and the next U/S showed us little cardiac activity- though not steady. Unfortunately we lost the little beany 4 days later .... no cramping..no spotting...
I hope this doesn't happen to u and maybe ur little one is just a little slow...
FX for u!! I'll keep u in my prayers... hate to be the one to share this sad story...
