swollen?

my doctor has checked for swelling everytime I have been to the doctor and had seen none, but today I noticed I was about 2lbs heavier and my sister in law said my ankles were swelling.  I hadnt noticed but my left one  does feel  sore and stiff.  Something I need to be worried about?

my ankles are swelling up really bad. they get really sore of an afternoon. i ice them when i can and put them up on a small upsidedown bin under my desk at work but it doesnt really help. the swelling goes down over night, but before i know it they are swollen back up again the next day. this has happened for about 2 weeks. (im almost 27 weeks) but only recently have they become very tender in the afternoon. ohhhh the joys af pregnancy.

Oh no :( I have about 70 pairs of shoes which I love, I'll be gutted if they don't fit anymore :(

Smelly feet... It can't be that bad... Did you know that due to all the relaxation caused by progesterone that our feet can grow a half to a whole size while we are preggos. And unfortunately, this is one side effect that does not go away after birth. You might try getting your feet measured and invest in another pair of shoes in a good fit.

I had some swelling when I was too hot so could be that....

Also my shoes hurt when I put them on so I spend most of the day with my shoes off and walk around the classroom with smelly feet LOL.

Putting your feet up makes it go away.

I think it's bad if it is accompanied by chest pain and shortness of breath but some swelling is normal.

I think that it is to be expected on a minor level. However, it can be red flag if it gets really bad.  Depending on how bad it is, I wouldnt worry too much and just let your doctor know at your next appointment.

My pregnancy book says that swelling starts around 23 weeks.  I guess it's to be exopected...
