Thanks for the birthday wish.  I had the most awesome day!!  My hubby is such a gem.  I'm not a fan of cooked oysters to be honest.  They lose all their flavour.  The seafood we had was so fresh.  We went for a 1 hour drive a picked them straight from the boat.  I was like a dog - drooling the whole hour home!!!!  LOL.  Kidding.  I'm glad that craving is past for now though.  It's an expensive one to maintain.  Now I'm into MARS bars.  I'm convinced this is a boy.  All the same foods I wanted when I was pregnant with my son.  Not even remotely interested in fruit like I was with my daughter.  Time will tell.  How are you going?

Happy belated bday! I can see you had a good one :-)

Were the oysters cooked? I use to be a raw bar addict but I can only have things like clams and oysters cooked now.. Funny because I dont know what cooked oysters taste like. Im afraid to try them and not like them lol.

It was my  birthday today and I FINALLY got my seafood.  Oh wow, it was unbelievably satisfying!!!  I've never been much of a food-focussed person, but those prawns and oysters have been ALL I can think about...I can move on now.  Ha ha

I'm also craving both sweet (peaches, melons, pears...) and salty (LOTS of hard cheese and crackers).  It was the same for me last time (boy)

There was an article in the UK Guardian a couple of weeks ago saying that it is now advisable to continue eating peanuts during pregnancy as the latest research indicates that eliminating peanuts from your diet during pregnancy and not giving them to kids in the first few years can in fact trigger an allergy.  I cut out peanuts last time, but since there's no history of peanut allergies in either of our families I don't think I'll bother this time, which is good news for me cos that was one thing I really missed last time.

Before I even knew I was pregnant, The only thing I wanted to eat was bagels with cream cheese and tomatoes on top.  I never ever ate that before and I ate it for three days or so for every meal.  That is when I realized that I may have been pregnant.  Now, I really want watermelon, strawberries and pickles.

I"m totally into salty foods, really loving my toast these days and macaroni and cheese. The thought of eating sweet foods is a total turn off.....

If you go by what "they" say, I'm having another boy....doesn't craving sweet mean girl and salty mean boy?

With my son I wanted broccoli and mushroom gravy sandwiches, cheese supreme Doritos and deep fried mars bars.

With my daughter I ate virtually nothing but fruit.

With this one it's white chocolate and Macadamia nut cookies from Subway, anchovies (any salty fish) and actually - any seafood at all really.  That's what I'm really hanging for....a big plate of oysters and prawns!!  Of course, chocolate is not safe.  I can sniff it out a mile away.
