bleeding at 7 weeks

I am 7 weeks today but I have been spotting/bleeding for the past 2 days. I don't have any cramps or pain though. It started with some brown spotting when I wipe but gradually turn to bright red. I used a panty liner and everytime I check I see a bright red spot on it. I did IVF and just changed from projesterone shot to capsules when this started. We already saw a pulsating heartbeat at 6 wks. my next appt is on thurs May 20. Pls help with feedbacks. thanks

So great that you were able to hear the HB, wasnt that awesome for the first time,  I get to hear mine again on friday morning and am excited.  I lightly bleed for about a week and then all of a sudden it stopped!  Hopefully that was it!  I had some spots of red towards the end and then it slowly tapered off.  Are you still having problems?

Hi Debolao,
It's so hard to have to worry when you have waited so long for this to happen.  I feel for you and I wish I could take it away for you!

Like many of the women on here have said, bleeding and spotting in pregnancy can be indicators of something more but more usually is nothing of concern.  I have a wonderful site that I often refer women to if they are stressing or worrying which is completely understandable.  http://www.babycenter.ca/pregnancy/antenatalhealth/physicalhealth/vaginalspottingorbleeding/
Hopefully this helps you, and like the PP said, my husbands mother "bled" her entire pregnancy making her think she was actually having her cycle, (also made her think she wasn't even pregnant until she started showing and feeling movement) to which she said, "I couldn't even escape my monthly for 9 months during my pregnancy!"  So, here's hoping that you are having "normal" spotting/bleeding if there is such a term, and please do rest and take care.  Try not to stress as it can only further cause you difficulties.  If you are ever worried and need some reassurances, don't hesitate to go to your local hospital ER.  There is no harm in checking things out rather then finding out that if you had not made the trip and something could have been done - you may regret.  I visited the hospital on a few occasions with my first pregnancy and they always welcomed me saying "it's better to be safe then sorry".  I was relieved when they didn't pass negative judgment.
Keep us all posted!  I hope this message helps.
In addition to anything I have mentioned, please keep in mind, that while I or others may have extensive knowledge in many areas, you should always seek professional medical advice from your own physician, as it pertains to medical conditions or concerns.
Good luck, and if you have any other questions that I can help you with, please feel free to message me directly.

Sincerely,

Hi, I really don't know how to use this yet but this is addressed to all of you that responded. I really appreciate your responses and prayers. It is very encouraging to me at this time, thanks so much. So, I ended up in the ER yesterday but they find the baby is fine and we saw the the hb. I also kept my regular appointment with my RE today and we heard the baby heartbeat for the first time, it was awesome. I am still bleeding but I am holding on to my faith and God's promise. Good luck to all of you and my best wishes. i will keep you posted.

Hi, I am currently 5 (almost 6) weeks preg and started lightly spotting (with some red this morning) bleeding three days ago.  Had my first US this morning (because of the bleeding) and everything looked fine, we heard the HB and even saw it to which is awesome because it is so early,  The nurse told me not to worry about the bleeding some women bleed throughout thier entire preg or during the first trimester.  I know it freaks you out but have faith!

Keep us posted!

I'll be praying for you too... I bled the first three months with my first pregnancy and now my son is 1 year old and I'm pregnant now w/ number two.  I even had a little bit of cramping from time to time with the spotting on baby #1, and everything turned out totally fine... if it isn't heavy bleeding, I would not worry about it. Keep your eyes on God and cast all your cares on Him... tell Him all your anxieties and then wait expecting for Him to answer you.  :)

Tx for your response. I called my doc but they just adviced me to put up my feet and take it easy. I wanted them to do an u/s right away but it seems they are not going to until my scheduled appt. the waiting is killing me but I am holding on to my faith. We've been trying for 7 yrs and I am praying this is it.
