How are we all doing now?

So ladies, wanted to check in on how you are all doing. The last few weeks are quite difficult and well needed rest is some advice I can give you guys, but it is nonetheless hard.

I've been told to induce in about 2 weeks by my OB but I will wait until 38 weeks and see how I feel. I have severe itching and it is bleeding and they're not ruling out intrahepatic cholestasis, so I'm drinking liver and gall tea (helps to regulate the bile) and will be getting some safe herbal remedy to try and reduce the itching. Nausea is also back and sleep.....well, it's hard thank the back pain. Having alot of pressure and pain down there, which started a few weeks ago and I was put on bed rest and magnesium. Looking forward to seeing my little princess and hope everyone has an uncomplicated birth and healthy babies :-)

Maybe you have PUPPS, if it's really severe then they induce you, which happened with me, I held out until 38 w 6 days during my last pregnancy and then I couldn't take it anymore, because the lack of sleep was horrible. My midwife made me a lotion with lavender smeared it on a thick cloth and put it over my belly, which was burning at the end of the pregnancy and that was SOOOO soothing! For some women, bathing in Dead Sea Salt helps, or some cortisone based lotions, or using a lotion with urea (temporarily helps). I'm drinking liver and gall tea to help regulate the bile flow, so it has helped a little. I hope that you hit the 37 week mark and then talk with your OB and see what he says about inducing.

By the way, sometimes the liver enzyme levels don't show up as abnormal until a few weeks after the intense itching starts. Soory about the accident. Fingers crossed that things stay put and baby comes later.

I literally just left the doctor where the took blood to test me for that itching liver disease thing.  I don't remember the correct terminology for it.  It's HORRIBLE!  I've been itching like crazy, so bad I draw blood after a while, it wakes me up at night.  It started with the soles of my feet and palms of my hands, but now my arms, legs, and chest are starting to itch as well.  When you figure out what helps this can you let me know?  So far I've been taking benadryl 3 times a day and smothering on lotion but it's not helping.  I'm so tired and cranky from no sleep.  Lots of pressure down low, my back is killing me.  I was hit by an old lady Friday she totaled my car and the trauma put me into labor they had to stop it and monitor me for 24 hours in L&D.  My doctor checked me today and said my cervix isnt diolated but extremely thin and she doesnt think I'm going to be pregnant much longer.  I'm 34w5d and my baby looks to weigh about 5lbs11oz today on a scan so I'm guessing if she comes early she will be ok?  Idk, but right now I just REALLY want the itching to stop. :(

I am 37 weeks today and it is getting harder and harder to sleep :). I am feeling a little stressed about all that still needs to be done both at work and at home, but we will get it done. My little guy is head down but not engaged and I had no dilation as of last week. I am having Braxton Hicks, which are uncomfortable and annoying, but tolerable. I am dealing with the back pain though...Had an ultrasound last week and the little guy is measuring about 6 lbs 13 oz, so he will be a good sized baby :).

Zazou, hope they get the itching sorted out and you feel better.

Hope everyone has a good holiday...we are in the home stretch and our little bundles of joy will be here soon :)

Sorry the itch is so bad. can't u apply some sort of cream on them to relief the symptoms at least? it must b frustrating especially along with the other symptoms lack of sleep and back pain! hope u feel better soon. ur lil princess will SO appreciate all that when she's here :)

as for me, things have been stable lately. no signs of labour apart from mild nausea every now n then painful Braxton hicks and baby dropping.
had this strong pain down there today while standing, felt like my insides r gonna fall out had to lie down until it cleared up. hoping this means baby's engaging or dilation is in progress.

next Dr's appointment is on the 18th will b 37+ weeks will c what that will bring us.

we're in the home stretch, so hang in there and keep us posted on the last updates!

Good luck!
