Am I missing anything?

Just getting the final preparations in place.  Being a first time mum I was wondering if I'm missing anything or there is anything I dont know about that i should get before the birth.  Have all the basics nappies, wipes, sponges for topping and tailing, dummies, clothes, swaddling blankets, bottles and bathing items. And then we have all the furniture sorted.

Is there anything I'm forgetting?  I'm not in america so can you explain a product and not use brand names as I'm sure they are different.  Thanks.

Hope you are all feeling well if you are still waiting and enjoying your bundle of joy if they have already arrived.

I see from your status you're an Aussie. Same here :-) But I'm living in Germany......

You sound pretty much well prepared, I agree a swing may come in handy, although not all babies like it. I found a baby carrier (e.g. Baby Björn) very useful. Sometimes when my daughter was couldn't settle down, I packed her in there and did my daily chores especially vaccummed as she calmed down to the noise!

If you're planning on breastfeeding to you have some maternity bras and nursing pads? I used the disposable ones. Do you plan on working a few months after birth and breastfeeding? A  milk pump is a good idea unless you plan on supplementing.

A diaper bag definately as you need to carry a supply of things when you go out. Some burp or spitting cloths would come in very handy.

Hope that helps and all the best!

You sound nice and prepared. When I get stressed that I don't have enough everyone reminds me that a newborn just needs a place to sleep, breastmilk or formula, and to feel safe. Oh and a carseat and diapers. Everything else can be gotten as you realize you need it.
