induction advise?

Hi, im getting an induction day after tomorrow and amwondering if anyone out there have had one before and wouldn't mind sharing their experience. This is my first child so im pretty nervous

Hi - Congrats on the pregnancy! I was actually induced with my daughter. I went in on a Sunday around 3p.m and they started the potoccin around 6p.m - In all honesty, it was an okay experience. I started getting contractions, some were intense, but nothing terrible. The only thing that happend with me was that I stopped dilating at 5cm. Now, everyone is different so don't get nervous because this happened to me! =) I don't know if you are gong to use a pain medication, but I chose to have an epidural, and after I got that, I felt no pain what so ever. I felt pressure, but other than that, nothing. Good luck with everything - God bless you!

I was induced with my first pregnancy. I was given the tablets, starting at 10 am, didn't really get any contractions until 8 pm. My waters broke at 10:45 pm and labour was very intense (I had slep ca. 2-3 hours per night the 2 weeks prior to birth due to PUPPS which is why I was induced). Our daughter arrived at 3:06 am, so it went rather fast. Every woman reacts differently, I had a natural birth, you always have the option of getting some form of pain relief. You'll be fine :-)
