Gestational Diabetes test :X

Ughh today's my gestational diabetes test, I don't remember it being TERRIBLE but I've heard horror stories lately, hopefully I pass with no incidents! :( Anyone taken theirs yet??

I had mine about two weekes ago and unfortunately it came back abnormal meaning I had to take the three hour test. That was a pain in the butt lol. I had to stay there for almost four hours. I had the orange drink the first time which wasnt that bad. The second time was a fruit punch which was horrible!. They had to take blood four time. Two in one arm and then I chose to switch, and two in another. I felt like my arms looked like drug addict arms with all the needle marks. But.... in the then everything was clear and no diabetes for me Lol.

Yay!!!! I passed mine with flying colors, was supposed to be under a 140 and it was only a 74, which is on the lower side, so hopefully that's not an issue. Surprising because alllll I want is sugar!!

Well my doctor says i do have to fast...i just dunno for how long

I asked my doc when did I need to take it and she said I don't need to unless they find something weird in my urine. That was a big relief for me since I puked during the test in my first pregnancy lol (15 mins before finishing the hour wait, they still took my blood tho and counted it, thank god)

HAd mine 2wks ago the orange tasting drink wasn't bad at all! Did the hour test & fasted from night until morning. She said my results were fine but some ladies are sick from the orange glucose.

Oh, well mine told me to fast...i just didn't know how long.

Mine was fine. My drink was clear but really sweet. It tasted like stale soda. It wasnt bad. My doc just said i was a little anemic, but everything else was fine

I failed the 1 hour but thankfully I passed the 3 hour..which was much worse then the 1 hour. The drink was thicker and I got stuck 4 times instead of one

I got orange, definitely wasn't bad!! I did get really shaky after though. Hopefully I passed it! And alexandria, I didn't have to fast, my doctor told me to just eat normal.

How long are you supposed to fast? My doctor didn't specify...is it just no eating or drinking after midnight the night before?

I had mine Monday and I had the red drink it wasn't bad though just drink it and an hour later get blood drew...piece of cake.

I had mine 2 weeks ago and ended up having to do the 3 hour last week. The drink stuff isn't that bad I personally don't like having blood drawn but its just part of it. Nothing to sweat at all. I don't have it so other than a bunch of extra blood draws it was nothing more than my time. Bring a book!

Mine was a breeze. They gave me an orange drink that tasted like crush soda. The tech was laughing bc I kept saying" wow this is good not bad like the stories I've heard." Lol. Good luck :)

I took mine a few weeks ago and I was nervous. But it was literally nooothing. It want bad at all.
