Finally! A birth story

My little princess has arrived one day before her due date. My water broke early on the twenty third. I noticed the presence of meconium. I went to the hospital and was admitted. She was high up and I was only ten percent effaced. The put me on a petocin drip, after tweleve hours I was hardly contracting and only 3-4 cm dilated. The doctor put an internal monitor in and it was like she flipped a switch. My contractions picked up and actually had some strength to them. It was my goal to only do iv meds. The pain was so intense I asked for the epidural. While waiting I kept getting an intense urge to push. I was pushing a little with contractions but the nurse wanted me to stop since I was only at five. I had another strong contraction and told her I have to push. She was like ok I can check you but you were only at five. She checks and her eyes got huge. She looked at me and said you are ready! I was like I have to push I have to! She said no you have to wait for the doc. I was like I can't and continued to push. One push and I felt the head pop out. A small push followed and she popped out onto the bed. The doc then walked in. The baby was crying on her own and had no signs of distress from the meconium. She was born at 2:47am and she is perfect! Not how I imagined the birth of my third child but that's life. Due to having the flu I got to hold her fifteen mins and then they took her to a different floor. I miss my baby but I know it's for her safety. That's my crazy birth story hope you enjoyed reading it :)

Yeah I have never had the iv meds. This delivery was so fast I had zero pain meds. After I had one 600mg ibuprofen. It was a way different experience that's for sure.
