High up/can't reach cervix?

I went in for my 37 week appt  for me group b swap and while my obgyn was down there I asked him to check if I was dilated at all. And he just reached in and basically immediately  came back out. Your cervix is still far back,  nothing going on there.  Has anyone  gone into Labour without  their doctor being able to check their cervix? This is my second baby. With my first I was induced at 42 weeks. And as far as I can remember my cervix was far back then still.  I'm just so ready to have baby and hoping to here some other mama's good news.

I'm not sure about that...Sorry. My Dr said I was postier as well. She couldn't even feel if I was dilated at 38 weeks because of it. At my appointment this past Tuesday I was 39 weeks & 3 days and she was finally able to see these I was 1 cm dilated. It hurt so bad but at least she was able to do a quick membrane sweep. Maybe your Dr can do that for you too. Since then I've lost my mucus plug and am still waiting for labor to start. If it doesn't happen soon then I'll be induced on the 12th. I'm really hoping it won't come to that or at least I hope it will go ok. Good luck to you!
