c section advice?

5 more days until my scheduled c section. A little anxious only about the spinal tap and after effects. Any advice or feedback from those of you who have had a successful c section? Were you alert the whole time? Did you get to hold the baby right away? Any information is appreciated :) thanks!

I just had an emergency c section on the 14th ur awake the whole time nd no u dnt he ur baby right away b cuz they stitch u up and I felt alot of tugging and not the pain from cutting but the feeling if tht makes sense nd them pulling my baby boy out

I had a c section 8 years ago. I was awake during the surgery and could feel a lot of pressure due to the doctor tugging and pulling the baby. But i feel asleep and woke up in the recovery room. The healing part wasn't fun, but well worth my son
