Can you feel your cervix dilating? I've been getting a strong period like pain has anyone had this advise please? 38weeks+7 days

I am on baby #4. I have never known I was thinning or dilating. All of my labors have started as a feeling like I was having cramp s off and on. Once the got more painful and like 4-5 mins apart I have gone in. They also don't go away with movement or warmth like bh contractions.

Pineapple can help to soften the cervix but I don't know about dialation. My doctor was saying that contractions are what make you dialate.

I read that you can feel pressure on your perenmium whuch is sometimea a sign of dialation.

I've been having the period like pains this evening, I have eaten pineapple today so I was wondering that could be why? I'm not due until the 20th I just didn't know if you can feel your cervix thinning/dilating.

How often are you getting the period paind. Early labor sorta feels like period pains
