stripped membranes! any successful stories?

Today I got my membranes stripped, it was done by a nurse, last week she said I was 2 centimeters dialated and today she said I'm very tight still. I was so uncomfortable so I didn't question her much. As of right Now I'm more emotionally uncomfortable then physically .... Does anyone have any encouraging stories and experiences after getting their membranes stripped.
I'll be 39 weeks tomorrow. The nurse said the hospitals the doctors deliver won't allow anyone be induced until they are 41+1 weeks along. :( last ultrasound I had the baby weighed a pound big... Its been a week plus if I have to way another 2 weeks, ..... She'll be a 9 pounder. I have a small torso so I'm already extremely uncomfortable

I had my membrane stripped dine at 1:30 1/6/15 39 weeks went into labor that night, had him at 10:35am today.  My worst mistake was mistaking the contractions for false labor.  By the time I got to the hospital at 2am my contractions were 5 minutes apart, excruciating pain and so glad it's finally over :)

I am only get the stomach tightening, but I read that if you move and it goes away it's false and mine last about a minute. They're not consistent ..... I usually have discharge and I haven't even had any. Did you bleed at all or have extra discharge?? Were the contractions intense, cause even the stomach tightening for me isn't too painful. I had it don't at 2 p.m. so it's been 12 hours now plus baby is moving a lot!!!! Did your water break? And was it your first membrane strip ??? I'm jealous lol

I had mine stripped yesterday at 12:30pm and I've only seen a little blood. My baby boy moved a ton last night but no contractions so I'm still playing the waiting game. I'm 39 weeks & 4 days as a ftm so it's likely I won't go into labor until around my due date I've been told.

I just got my membranes stripped today!  I'm 2-3 cm and 80% effaced...I'm going to try and keep active today and get things going!

I wanna keep active too. Except walking for me is so exhausting. I get so swollen and my attachments hurt, but I probably should go for a walk. I'm so tired too, but I can hardly sleep. I just woke up with some pain in my lower belly. I guess kind of like menstrual cramps. I hope She does come on her own. That's all I want no inducing.

I'm excited to report that I've made some progress today by losing my mucus plug :) I had my membranes swept yesterday so I'm hoping to continue seeing progress!

It was my first membrane strip and I had been losing plug finally saw bloody show at like 11am and I knew it was real.  They broke my water about 3 hours before I gave birth.  I don't know why but I gave my cat a bath and that was such drama, I feel like doing this caused my labor to start lol I don't know why I decided to go ahead and do that but I think it kickstarted labor? If you haven't already I would download a good contraction timer app and record the "stomach tightenings" those turned into real contractions super quickly for me :)

Eandrews511.... So how long after was that... It's officially been 24 hrs for me and nothing. I'm even surprised I'm not having my normal discharge.....

I'm gonna download an app And go take my nephews to the park.

Just had some leakage of discharge. It's slight yellow and thick. No smell.

I BEEN contracting.... Kind of weird thou... I'll have Adobe every 5-8 minutes for 30 mins then won't get another for 15-20 mins

It's been almost 24 hours since I've had my membranes stripped and I've been losing my moucus plug since last night. I've had some mild cramping, but nothing that has lasted. Crossing my fingers that something happens today!!

Just woke up and lots of green mucus filled the tissue. Sorry if tmi. But this is the most ive seen at one time and its green not yellow like normally.

Solmama, I started losing my mucus approximately 24 hours after I had the sweep.

I been just having the muscle tightening. It's been on and off .... During my walk I was getting closer and stronger contractions but if I am relaxing I hardly get any. I'm so overwhelmed plus tossing and turning..... I'm exhausted... It's been almost 48 hrs. All I feel is baby moving a lot
