20 week testing

Hi I am new to the board I am 17 1/2 weeks pregnant and going in in three weeks for my 20 week ultrasound. I am 35 1/2 and the dr wants me to do the testing for Down syndrome and T18 and so on. My question is this is my fourth baby and I didn't do it with any of my first 3 but they are really pushing me because of my age this time. I am super nervous have any of you done it ? Not done it? Why or why not? I appreciate any of your comments thanks so much!

I did it. It's only a vial of blood so unlike a lot of more invasive testing, it won't come with any risk of miscarriage. Some women prefer not to get the testing done because it can cause unnecessary stress, but I like to be prepared. I would've kept the baby regardless of what the results were,  which eliminated any stress, but that way if there were any things I would need to do differently, I could start from day one.
