Any one else have varicose veins?

I've got varicose veins this time my doc told me to get compression socks but they are expensive! For those of you who have had them do the socks help? I don't want to spend all that money on them if its not gonna help.

Thanks for the advice! Any special stretches? Mine are on my knees and upper calf.

I've had them all my life. I just drink plenty of water and stretch to avoid cramping!

I used them to try to cut back on swelling during my first pregnancy and they helped with that. I've heard they are great for varicose veins, but can't say from personal experience. I've seen them at CVS, I'm pretty sure.
