Dialalated at 36 weeks
I just got done at my36 week apointment and my doctors I was Dialalated about a fingertip should I be worried?
No I was diialated at my 34 week check up and still had my baby at 38weeks +4 days , I even started walking more and doing things to make him come by my 37 week only to get a shot to stop my contractions
Some women are dilated to 3cm for weeks. I'm hoping to be dilated a bit at my appointment next week, but it really doesn't indicate much.
Alot of women dialate early that's why they start checking around 36 weeks. It's normal.
It is recommended to NOT be checked until your in active labor. This recommendation has been around for quite a while now. The reasoning is why add bacteria to a location that is a perfect environment for growth?
There is no added value to know how dilated you are unless your in labor. It adds risk for no reward.
