I'm packing at 36 weeks unless my doc says other wise. I pack jammies for me loose t shirts my bath and hygene stuff and snacks for the hospital stay I'm always super hungry after baby is born and the days fallowing. For baby just a take home outfit and a blanket the hospital provides everything else.
My bag is packed. I packed lots of food to give me energy for labor and to eat after, some diapers and take home outfit. The carseat is installed and everything but frozen goods fits in the seat. Your not moving it, you don't need to pack that much. Luckily I am discharged after 4 hours after baby in arms, or when the snow storm passes.
I'm 35 weeks, and bags are already packed. You never know when baby may come
Funny you mention this as I just downloaded a hospital checklist from Google. I recommend you search for one and chose the one that best fits you as they are all slightly different.
I am having a home birth but pack a hospital bag just in case. I am just packing a sleeper to bring baby home in and a blanket for the car. I have a friend that brings her own baby wash because she wants organic stuff and they don't have that at the hospital.
