Overdue questions?

When they do the nst and check when you go past your due date how do they check the fluid levels in you amniotic sac? Other then that, my hips haven't felt this bad since I was hit by a car or when i was in labor with my first. I have a high pain tolerance and when I was in labor with my first a few nurses would comment asking if i felt that contraction. My hips hurt the entire time i was in labor with her but i couldn't feel many contractions until the end. Could this just be something like that? I just can't feel the contractions as much?

I thought I heard the nurse say ultrasound. I don't like the idea of an induction but if it's a must.

My due date is tomorrow.  I have an appointment for Thursday. If I haven't gone into labour by then they said they would do an ultrasound to determine fluid and babies well being.  Depending on the results they may induce then or wait till 41 weeks. I hope I don't have to wait till 41 weeks.
