body image

Anyone else struggling with their body image with their pregnancy?  I have always been conscious with my weight. And since getting pregnant i am hating my cleaner way of eating. I am still trying to do one salad a day along with complex carbs but my sweet tooth is killing me.
I am 12w 3D and gained approx 6.5lbs so far. Clothes are getting tight in my hips and thighs too. I keep telling myself I am doing good, but it it's a big mental struggle too...I keep seeing posts of little weight gain... So just wondering if there are others out there experiencing weight gain and struggle with being comfortable in their skin? I am sure in a few more weeks when my belly pops more and i really look pregnant I will feel better.
I am still running and doing crossfit!
So being active makes me feel good.
Thanks ladies :)

This time around I find myself getting upset over the way I look even though I technically haven't gained much. It's just a  mental thing we have to get over. Make sure to be healthy for you and your baby because that's all that matters. And truth be told I know when I see my babygirl I won't even care about the weight I'm going to have to lose, lol. Feel better hun!

Thank you ladies for the feedback. Nice to not feel alone. Almost have to grieve our former body during this time. I am becoming more comfortable and accepting as the bump is starting to shine through.

Yes! It's hard to see your body change and not even have a cute bump... I'm really hoping to pop soon. I've gained about 8 pounds. 16 weeks, 3 days.

I have gained little weight at 16 wks 5 days, but I already had a little tummy going on. I feel like a whale even though the gain hasn't been a lot. I need to start eating better as well, but I don't want veggies! My appetite just doesn't want them :-/ To Lucky, I am currently your same weight and started at 133. Maybe that was weight you needed anyway, not just a 17 lb gain. Please don't let anything your BF says (or you think he's thinking) get in your head. It's all for a good reason.

I am 13 weeks 4 days and have gained about 10lbs. I go back and forth between gaining and losing bc i have been so sick. At one point I was up 15 lbs, but then couldn't eat for close to a week.  I attribute most of my weight gain to chicken tenders.. they were the only thing I could keep down for most of my first trimester and only from a certain restaurant.  Lol. I don't feel comfortable in my skin either. My boyfriend tells me that I'm beautiful,  but I just feel like a tired lazy blob :( I think it's harder when we are stuck in that in between phase where other folks aren't sure if you're pregnant or just putting on weight.

Every pregnancy is different and everyone gains and loses weight differently. I am 15 weeks and 3 days and have gained 2.9 pounds.
