With my first I had same thing. What helped me is sitting on a birthing ball
I turned down the pain meds bc morphine isnt my friend...breath and sleep they gave me a sleeping pill try that
In the room where I delivered they had written on the wall- "giving birth should not be your biggest fear, but your greatest achievement". Nothing about having a baby is a walk in the park, but I believe, that it's important to have as positive an experience as possible. You have to be your own advocate; don't be afraid that they'll judge you or that it makes you any lesser to get more medicine now. It doesn't matter if you aren't deeply in labor, if you're in pain, you deserve to explore your options until you find something that helps. As PP said, talk to the nurses. Just keep thinking about meeting that little baby- eyes on the prize :)
Keep your head up hun! It's tough now, but don't be afraid to tell your nurses how much pain in your in, and ask if please there's anything else they can give you. My nurses were awesome. & believe me, the outcome is SO REWARDING and makes you completly forget about all the pain you were in. You can do it!
Thank you for responding. I feel so alone and scared (ftm). Im wanting any meds they can give me. So far they've only given me paracetamol and morphine. Neither has helped in any way. I think its because I havnt started labour yet - but while I wait for labour to begin im in so much pain already.
You will because you get your baby at the end of this, you're so close!! Are you planning to do it without meds or are you waiting until you've progressed further?
