Devastated and scared on bedrest

Only 21 weeks today, and doctor put me on bed rest a few days ago due to incompetent cervix. Has anyone been there? I'm very worried about preterm labor, and even more worried about my ability to give birth once it's time, and my fertility after. . . Bright side, I get ultrasounds every 2 weeks and now that I'm always in bed, I really feel baby moving! Advice, words of encouragement welcome!

A few weeks ago my cervix went from 3.2 to 2.75 and my dr told me I might need to get a cerclage if it goes below 2. Because they told me this and were monitoring me every 2 weeks I started taking it easy. And so far my cervix has gone back to 3. So I can understand your worry because I was terrified, but just make sure you trust your team and research them to make sure they have experience with patients that have had ic. Just know we can still have healthy babies, but we need to be ultra aware of our bodies in case something were to happen. I wish you and your baby good health and strength:)

Have they spoken to you about a cerclage or anything? My SIL had an incompetent cervix and made it full term with bed rest and now has a healthy boy and has recently started for number 2! Hang in there mama and you can do it!
