Hi ladies!!  i am 16 weeks pregnant and m based in NZ. The weather is really cold here. From last 2-3 weeks m suffering from flu and didn't take any medicine. I feel better for 3-4 days and then goes back to the same condition; fever, itchy throat, cough nd bad headache. I am really worried about it, is it affecting my baby as well. Tried any of the following: drinking warm lemon, ginger and honey mixture? Staying warm, drinking lots of water and resting more? Paracetamol to keep fever down? Avoiding people with colds and flu? Sorry not much help and hope you feel better soon. Not sure there is much you can take during pregnancy. Speak to your doctor, not sure if a flu jab would help once you are better to maybe reduced the impact of flu the next time as it is flu season over there.

I left NZ on time.. But I know a very old recipe - warm whole milk and boil a bit of onions in there. It does not taste great but it was my grandma's golden weapon to keep the kids healthy. I would close my nose drinking that mixture.. But worked each time.

And raw cabbage has loads of C vitamin and other healthy nutrition.. Rosehip tea. Real honey. Black bread+butter+crushed garlic (lots of it and raw) black currant. Cranberries + honey..

Boost your immune system!
