1 Year check up!

Hi.. I'm taking Hunter for his 1 year check up today... Does anyone know how many shots he will get today????

Jack had his 1 yr. appointment the day after his first birthday. I felt like the got more shots at this appointment than he's gotten at any other appointment. Poor guy. They had us put a warm compress on his heel for 5 minutes and then they had to ***** his heel draw some blood to be sent off. They gave him at least four shots in the thighs after that, one of which was a chicken pox vaccine. That totally took me off guard because I had no idea they gave vaccines to prevent chicken pox these days! But the ped said yes, they give that nowadays because every pediatrician has had one patient die of chicken pox and it's not worth the risk, apparently. About 10 days after his vaccines he broke out in a bit of a rash, just little red spots on his body here and there and on his face. The doctor said that was a reax to the chicken pox vaccine and not to be alarmed. It went away within a few days and never seemed to bother Jack.
Jack was about 20.5 lbs but I don't remember how long he was, just that he was in the 90th percentile for height and 20% percentile for weight. He eats plenty. He's just going to be a string bean like me and my brother were! We were always long and lanky!!!

Medina was at the Dr's last week for her second round of MMR shots so she has 13 month stats. She has been eating wonderfully, I am soooo happy, she has gained a bit of weight (I'm giving her something to stimulate her appetite, it has iron as well). She weighed 20.7 lbs (9.4 kgs) and was also 31.5 inches (80 cm).

JT had his appointment last week on the 15th, he weighed 23 lbs and is 31 1/2 inches (just like James). He is on the go not wanting to be held just constantly moving. Our kids are growing so fast.

Ugh!  My dr's office just rescheduled Cash's appt for 18 August!  I am ready for it now! LOL!  I am not ready for the shots, but I am interested to see how much he weighs and how tall he has gotten.  Oh well, I guess I will have 13 and 1/2 month stats instead of 12 month stats.

James got all 4 shots too. He weights 23 pounds and is 31 1/2 inches tall.
He is only saying few words, mama, papa, and some made up words that he can only understand. He is walking a lot but laso cruises crawling at time when gets tired. Loves exploring and getting into troubles, loves cars and anything with wheels.
He claps, point at objects. NO sippy cup yet but drinks well from a regular cup so  we are still taking milk with bottle (whole milk) We are working on doing just regular food now slow process.

Hey... Well he got 4 shots..... 2 in each leg, I'll have to look at the papers but I Hep B and chicken pox and 2 others...!! He weighs 27 pounds and 33 inches long they said he will be well over 6ft big like his daddy... he did ok, except he knows where he is at now in the doctors so that's not good, he already in a bad mood before they come in.....but no fever!!! Yah!!!! Had his 1st birthday party this weekend.. trying to post pictures but it's being slow and wont' upload.

So what shots did he get? JT's 1st year check up is scheduled for this Thursday because I didn't want him in a bad mood on vacation last week. How big is your little man now?

Medina got MMR (measles, mumps, rubella), and she got meningococcal vaccine last week (4 weeks later) and her next MMR is in a week. That's what we have here in Germany.
