Birth Control

So thinking about changing my BC to something else! I have been on Depot for the last 6 months. I was on it before I had my kids and loved it. This time around I've been gaining weight and just not loving it like before. I have an appt today to talk to my OB about chaning it. Anyone have any good ideas or are on anything that they love? Would like to know your thoughts on this.

I have been on Ortho Tri Lo but the past few months I'm having bleeding between periods with it. My OB decided this past week that I need a all-month high dose instead of the low, medium, high dose pack that the Lo has. She called in a new kind but I forget the name...haven't picked it up yet because I need to finish out the Lo pack first. We'll see!
I will say the Lo has made my periods a breeze, very mild cramps if any and no PMS. : )

I personally have heard nothing nice about the depo. I'm on the low ogesteron pill and it works great for me! Not to many sidfe affects the first like 2 mos were and adjustment but the rest a breeze. Give it a whirl and see what how you feel it can't hurt!

I have always used Orthos Tricycle Lo, but after the baby i just kept bleeding while taking it, so my Dr. switched me to LoEstrin24. LOVE it!!!!  Shorter lighter periods!!  And no breakthrough bleeding.

I had the depot but now I have been bleeding for going on 3 months now. I didn't go back for the next dose because this is ridiculous now I need to find something that will get my body back on track. Any suggestions?

I use the patch, Ortho Evra.  My doc tried to discourage me from it because of the risks, but since I have none of the risk factors (age, smoking) I went ahead.  Besides, doesn't the pill have similar risks??

Anyway, I cannot remember to take the pill either, LoL, the patch is easy to remember because by day 7 it is falling off-- time to change!

Well I ended up going back on Orthotricyclin sp? I'm going to start it Sunday. She said I could go ahead and start it last night but I figured I better start on a sunday so I don't confuse myself. Ugh!

That's funny because I also took that and I was very bad with remembering to take them as well. Ha!

I take the ortho trycyclin (sp?).  I used it before I got pregnant and I use it now. I like it but often forget to take it.
