now I'm confused. Maybe I'm half-dropped if that's anything. I feel the urgency to pee every single time I stand up, and I get bm pains constantly, but my pelvis has hurt since week 17 so I don't know the difference, I don't feel a head down there either. I guess I'll know when it happens.
roke- we're both still here, no impending labor signs. Wouldn't it be funny if we both delivered the same day too?
aaahhh Mumita... same thing here. I can't wait... and I don't think I've dropped either.
I dropped at 35 weeks (July 1st). You will be thankful that you haven't dropped yet because it's really uncomfortable. The pelvic area hurts like a bad mentral pain all the time and you can't get comfortable, not even when sleeping. Also, she's pushing your organs out of the way to fit her head down there, so I have constant lower back pain, not to mention that I now have to go to the bathroom twice as much as before because she is literally on the bladder. I swear I feel like I'm going 30 times a day now and I'm having to take Tylenol 4 times a day for the pain. Be thankful. :o)
maryddn- i feel the having to pee thing everytime the baby stretches But I don't feel any other pressure down there other than BH. I don't think I've dropped because now I'm getting horrible acidburn when I sit probably because the belly is pushing up my stomach and well all that stuff comes up. Its sooo annoying!
Tiger63- i'm the same, I can't wait to give birth already but I don't think its happening anytime soon unfortunately. I still have about 3 weeks left (due July 31st)
People say I have dropped and i feel i have more room near my lungs, although i don't feel anything down low or like the baby's head is in between my legs. How can i tell if i have dropped properly?
mumita - i too have really swollen feet and feel like a big hippo. i can barely walk coz i'm so heavy. I just want to meet my baby!
My baby has dropped for a week now. When I sit, I feel like her head is between my thighs. I also have a lot of pressure on my bladder. Every time she stresses, I have to pee. I'm 37 weeks and 3 days today and other than being tired I do not feel anything is happening soon, so I'm not sure if being dropped means anything.
I'm waiting and waiting for this kid to drop, I'm getting soooo tired! Its like I hit 35 weeks and it all hit me, I'm sooo tired all the time! My feet look terrible and my belly is cramping more and my hips just hurt more and more and more every day. I want to give birth soon :(
I definitely noticed a HUGE change today, I can barely walk anymore it is so painful.
With my first it must have been a very gradual drop cause I never noticed it.
I agree with the other ladies, my baby has dropped a lot too, I'm not sure if he's dropped 100% or not yet, but since he was engaged at my last doctors appt. I'm assuming he dropped quite a bit! It happened little by little for me, it wasn't a big drop and I knew it right away, he did gradually, and yours might be, you just aren't noticing it yet.
Yes drastically. My dh just mentioned it to me the other day how my belly is so low! As for what you read on the internet you can't base your experience on others. You could drop and deliver beyond your due date. Even statistics are based on averages. The average first time mother doesn't give birth until the due date or beyond. Only 2 % of pg women's water breaks on their own. Sorry to rain on your parade. In your case you are one of the few who has a late term complication causing an earlier delivery date! Best wishes to you and I hope that you have a wonderful delivery! Good luck and keep me posted!

Don't feel bad. I'm 39 weeks 5 days and my baby still hasn't dropped all the way. I've read and heard the baby drops 2-4 weeks before labor for first-timers but can also not drop until right before labor, so who knows. He is "down there" but hasn't fully dropped down. It's frustrating! I'm being induced on Monday (due date) because of high blood pressure etc. and so I'm doing whatever I can to progress..long walks, bouncing on exercise ball, etc. Nothing seems to really do the trick. Sigh.
