Pink and Brown Spotting

Hi Everyone,
I know I haven't posted in awhile but I've been lurking and am happy to read that most of you are doing very well.  This past weekend, I started having scant pink and brown mucus discharge.  I went to the hospital [I was with my Mom and she panicked] and everything looks fine and normal.  I saw the baby (8mm) and the baby's heartbeat was 133bpm.  I had a pelvic and the Dr. said that the size of uterus and everything looked fine.  He also said I wasn't bleeding at first, but then changed his mine when he saw the brown tinge to my mucus.  But he doesn't know where the blood is coming from.  I felt reassured at the time b/c the spotting went away and b/c I saw my baby's heart.   But the spotting just returned last night and I got worried again.  Did anyone else experience this?  I'll be 8 weeks tomorrow and my next ultrasound isn't for a week and a half.  Thank you kindly.

:) Good, deep breath!!!Also, more you research, less good you feel..when I had a hematoma, I was devastated, I paniced and stayed doing research all week long, and so read many bad cases...when I came in for my last u/s, they said it is getting smaller and I was releaved...BUT, for your own sake, don't do too much research!! Not like Im going to follow my own advise...hehe...but if you don't have gushes of bleed, relax~ also, as I read, as long as the baby is OK, there is nothing to worry about!!!

You know my story, I have a hematoma and so it is leaking, I have brown spotting for last 2 weeks....sometimes it can be small so doc cannot detect it on u/s...you could be experiencing this, as long as you don't bleed heavily, DONT PANIC!!! Believe me!! there is nothing wrong, and the baby is fine!

Thanks Armyprincess! I'm sure it is okay. I felt so much better after seeing the heartbeat but I started to feel nervous again last night when it returned.  I've been reading and wondered if it was implantation bleeding.  I read that you can get some bleeding around when your period should arrive (4w and 8w)...so maybe that is it.

Darkestlight ~ I've been reading about your progress and am glad to hear that you are still doing well. I hope and just know that your u/s tomorrow will be ok.  But the best of luck anyways!  And thank you for your response.

I full fledged bleed for about a wk or more. I had 3 u/s during this time and saw the baby's hb each time. I finally stopped bleeding last wednesday. I go tomorrow for my u/s to finally find out if everything is ok or not. I pray it is. And  it's not uncommon to bleed or spot so try not to worry .

I"m sorry you had to go through this. The blood could be from anywhere left over lining or from the implantation etc. We are so vascular too so it may have been a blood vessel. I would stay in touch with your dr if he is concerned enough he will do a blood draw to make sure your numbers are fine really that is the key. Seeing your baby's heartbeat is reassurance to. Just take it easy. I can tell you with my older 2 kids i had heavy period like bleeding for 2 weeks and they are both fine 7 and 5 so it's not uncommon to bleed during pg it's if it's followed by cramps and tissue you need to be on the alert. I'm not a dr but I have been pg enough to know. Good luck and best wishes to you and your baby!!!
