Swollen Feet, Calves, ankles

Should you not work due to swollen feet, ankls and calves? Everything from my knee down gets swollen on a daily basis now. Before it happened once and a while, but now its more of everyday. What can I do to stop this? Does this mean I am going to deliver early? Is this a bad thing? My dr says to check my blood pressure if I can or I have to go in. He said to elavate my feet and drink water..

One thing you can try is keep a box or better yet, a foot stool under your desk, it wont keep your feet as elevated as they should be but it might help a little.
Also, make sure you are watching your salt, that makes a HUGE difference. I was starting to swell really bad this time around so I cut salt out and upped my water and it has helped A LOT!

You can still work, just make sure you are going home and elevating your feet above your heart and that you are drinking enough fluids. Around this time in my first pregnancy I was put on half day bed rest because of swelling and my blood pressure was slightly elevated, I was also spilling some protein in my urine. As long as you aren't having any other symptoms you should be good. My swelling never went down, it didn't matter how long I kept my feet up.

Yes. My ankles are huge. I had sprained my ankle a week and a half ago. The pain is now gone but my swelling is getting worse which has nothing to do with the sprain. Honestly with this pg it's like what don't I have. Ha. well worth it though. I try to put my feet up at night and ice them! and also I drink lots of water too. I hope you feel better soon......
