I feel sooooooo yucky ALL the time

Is anyone else feeling bad?  I just feel nauseas on and off all day and pretty much like c r a p.  All I want to do is lay around - that's the only way i feel better.  I was late for work this morning, and I'm thinking I may need to leave early now.  Am I alone on this?  Anyone else?

Aw, thanks for asking----i'm going for a high risk consult on thurs morning, but i don't even know if they know anything about cholestasis.  most docs dont, and of the ones that do, most have a misunderstanding of it.  so i'm printing out lots of articles and studies and treatment guidelines and stuff to take with me.

i'm getting better at mentally managing, so it's not driving me to a frenzy quite so often, but it's still horrid.  I literally got not ONE SINGLE SOLITARY WINK of sleep last night.  I am not even CLOSE to exaggerating.  It's always worse at night.  Hopefully the doc I see will know ICP/OC, Rx me the dag-gum ursodeoxycholic acid i need, and we can start improving things.

The issue isn't the itching, it's that the itching is caused by bile acid that isn't supposed to be in my blood.  It DOES cross the placenta, and it DOES cause fetal distress, early meconium staining, and still birth.  Not cool.

Oh, ok, jess - will do.  I am looking for anything that might be causing this!!!  I had that test earlier in pregnancy - like 19 weeks or so, but I will definitely ask for another one - I hadn't even thought of that!  Thanks again!!!

BTW - how is your itching?  Mine is still going on, although I don't think it has ever been as prminent as what you were having.  Mine was just more of an annoyance, but I know yours was pretty serious.

ladybug, you said you're experiencing a lot of nausea lately----do me a favor, at your next appt, ask them to draw blood for LFTs to see how your liver is doing.  Sometimes 3rd trimester nausea can be a weird indicator that your liver function is impaired.  It's a quick and easy test, should have the results back from the lab the next day.

I"m sorry you guys are feeling so bad, but glad I'm not alone.  I am definitely uncomfortable all the time!!  I too long for my body back as well - can't wait to sleep on my tummy!  When I posted this orginally it was Monday and I was at work, I left right after and the Dr. put me on bedrest for two days bc of the intensity of the nausea I was having.  I'm back at work today and feeling better - as far as the nausea goes, but nothing helps the uncomfortableness.
Isabelle:  Thanks for the encouragement!   I really need it somedays bc I just really want to stay at home and be a lazy slob most of the time.  I envy that you are able to take this time to rest (my dr. says it is really best to be off your feet the last month just for the benefits of the rest).  Do you work normally (when you aren't preggers :-) )?
Blackmetalrose:  I'm with you on the sleep thing - me too!!  Are you still working? or do you work?

I feel your pain...Litterly.  I'm so uncomfortable all of the time, and constantly feel like i'm gasping for breath.  All i want to do day in and day out is go to sleep.  I have to get a shower at least twice a day to feel at least remotely normal.  Don't get me wrong i feel blessed to have this baby, but I cannot wait to have her outside of me and to have my body back!   We are almost there!!  I can't wait!

Yes, I feel like a slob. Tired, heavy and out-of-sorts... and i'm home all day!

I can't believe you're still working... you couldn't pay me enough money to do it!

Hang in there, courageous one!

Yes but like my whole pg I have had urinary tract infections and bladder infections. I have my 2nd one in 3 wks so that is helping my feeling like a bag of poo but also too we are at the end our bodies are getting ready for delivery day and we can feel yucky until we have our babies. I get not to disgust you but when my body is changing and getting ready I get loose bowels and upset stomachs and aches and pains. I get very very very physically sick when I'm in hard labor. Mention it to your dr you next app make sure they just give you a good check up! I hope you feel better soon!
