Weird Pain, is this normal

I am so worried that I am going to have this baby now, its unreal. I am having a really weird pain in my belly. It feels like its coming from my belly button? Has anyone ever heard of this or had it? It feels like a pulling sensation. It keeps happening on and off but its not consistant. Does anyone know what this is?

Honestly it could be anything. I have been having severe low abdominal pain and severe contractions and for 2 mos now and sure enough my cervix has been changing being confirmed in vag u/ss.. The pain is progressively getting worse and now my cervix is open my dr was not in the office yesterday I had to see the midwife but  tues I will see my dr. It doesn't seem normal to me to have a open cervix and be told it's okay, but I'm not a dr so I will find out on tues. I think I have begun labor. You will know when your body is getting ready for delivery. I would give your dr a call or the hosp. Good luck and I hope you feel better soon....

Sounds like a pulled muscle, your muscles right now are all stretched out and separate so there's tons of pulling pains associated from it....One false move and it could leave you hurting for a little  bit.
I don't think its anything to worry a bout, I usually get a similar feeling when I eat too much, like my belly will fall off through my bellybutton.

Oh pregnancy, is such a beautiful experience ;)  There's some sarcasm in that.

No, I have been having BH the whole time. They aren't painful., at least for me they aren't. This is a sharp shooting pain, that occurs if I move around. It feels like it is pulling and coming from my belly button. If I had to describe it, it almost feels like the baby is pulling on the ambilical cord..as weird as that sounds...

BH = "Braxton Hicks", irregular early contractions that are like your body practicing for labor.

If it scares you, then you should call your Dr, bc only you know your body, but I have had something similary.  I have had the pulling sensation, and my nurse at the dr's office says that that complaint is normal and is probably just baby moving around and pulling bc there is less and less room now that they are getting bigger or that it could be BH.  They offered to let me come in, but I have an appt on Tues,, and I was really calling about the nausea I was having, so I'm going to wait until then.  But, like I said if its enough to make you feel scared definitely call and ask your Dr. - the best thing for baby is a calm momma not a stressed one!  Hope you feel better soon!
