I didn't read any of the above responses but I wanted to tell you that babycenter.com has a conception calculator, you put in your LMP and how long your cycles are, it will give you a good idea of when you conceived.
If your due date is july 18th, then they believe your date of conception was around the 26th-ish of october based on the baby's size and development. It's really imprecise, if you're looking for some kind of pinpointed date, you will never know. The only way to clear up your confusion is to stop believing that it can be fully cleared up. Even if they were able to somehow be 100% certain that the baby inside you is x days developed, there are STILL variables like sperm waiting around for days before an egg is available for fertilization. So the date that you had sex could be off from that even still. And we know they can't give a definitive gestational age. All you can do is give yourself a likely range.
The dates become harder to pinpoint the later you are in your pregnancy that the scan takes place. So if your first scan told you 10 days later than the second scan, it's likely sometime in between. They typically only change your due date if it's more than a week different from your previous scan. But at the same time, I know women who have gone for a second scan where the date given was 2 weeks off and the doc still wouldn't change their due date because the first ultrasound is statistically more reliable in determining gestational age.
So anyway, they feel you probably conceived sometime between October 24th and November 3rd.
To put it in perspective:
- My due date is July 16th---so they figure based on statistics that i conceived around the 24th-ish.
- They say that based on my lmp of October 10th.
- If you had a regular menstrual cycle and they gave you a due date of july 18th, then that would mean they would say your lmp was october 12th, putting conception 14 days later
it's all statistical guesses and the more info they have the more certain they can be, but with less info they can only be so sure.
By the date of my LMP my due date was Aug 3. It got changed to July 29th based on all my ultra sounds. I think I conceived on either the 9th or 10th of Novemeber since I was using the OPK's. I got my positive preg test on the 20th which is 10 days after ovulation. If you got a strong positive on the 13th, you would have had to conceive the very least around 10 days before that. Hope that helps a little :)
also i took a pregnancy test on th 13th november and got a really strong positive straight away
