Baby Movements

Now that we are all approaching our due dates, what are you all feeling in terms of movements?  I'll be 37 weeks on Wednesday, and I feel like the movements have slowed down a bit.  And when I do feel them, it's more of rolling sensations, and I RARELY am getting kicked anymore.  And if I put my hands on my belly, I can feel the baby squirming around.  I of course always wonder if this is normal.  I have a feeling the baby is just out of room at this point.

What are you all feeling in terms of baby movements?

I will be 35 weeks this weekend and my Pooh is moving more than ever. It feels like she is rolling and doing sumersaults...LOL!!! I also feel her kicking me in my right rids. I guess I should expect her to slow down in a couple of weeks when she has less room to play.

yeah, it's probably normal. I have periods like that too, he actually didn't move for 2 whole days once. It was when the temperatures spiked around here and it was like 88 degrees and majorly humid and i was all dizzy and yeah it was really hot and he did not like it at all cuz he seiously was super quiet. I was starting to get worried and then all of a sudden the weather broke and he was back to his wiggly squirmy self. lol

Coke will defiantly do the trick! I don't drink much caffeine but I'll drink a coke every once in a while and I've noticed he is very active once the caffeine hits!

I wish I had the magic answer to that. When that was happening with my daughter they gave me cookies and a coke while I was on the monitor..so whenever he's not moving I drink something with caffeine and eat something sweet then lay on my side and he usually starts moving. I think that if there comes a time when he doesn't after that I'll be calling the dr.

Do your baby have quiet periods as well?  I wonder how long it is normal for the baby to not be moving.  For example, I will have a couple hours of a baby not moving.  Is that normal?  I just wonder when I will know if the baby is in distress.

OH my goodness I just saw this thread as the baby decided he wanted to try making his own way out of my belly.  OUCH!
He still kicks me, but now that he is bigger, he is stronger and I can see his little feet trying to poke thru my stomach!!

My first pregnancy was perfect until the last day when my daughter wasn't moving. I knew something was wrong...it ended up that she was in distress. So I always am paying extra attention to the movements. This one has slowed down, but he still moves alot more when I lay on my side. Other than that it's more rolling than anything.
