Cervical Checks

So, now that I'm over 36 weeks, and going to the OB once a week, the cervical checks have begun.  I don't mind them, EXCEPT for the fact that I bleed every.single.time! So frustrating!  I had one yesterday and I'm still spotting. :(  My midwive assures me it's completely normal, but it's still frustrating.  I mean, come on? What pregnant woman wants to see any form of blood down there.

Does anyone else have spotting/bleeding issues during cervical checks and pregnancy?  I must just have a super duper sensitive cervix.

Oh, and in other news. . . I'm 0 dilated, but I am 50% effaced! I guess that's something! :)

Mine started checking me last Friday. I'm already 1 1/2cm and 50% effaced. I go back tomorrow to see if there's any changes. I was waiting to see if I would have any spotting and none so far. My cervix is really hard to get to and it's painful, but no bleeding. I hope you don't have to deal with that everytime!

I'm glad it's not just me.  And congrats on being 1cm dilated.  I wasn't dilated at all, but was happy with the 50% effacement.  Hey. . . it's something! :)

I must be super sensitive as well.  I have had 2 checks, bled both times and it was really uncomfortable/painful.  BUT at 36w4d I am 1cm dilated and 50% effaced, and soft :D

I just feel like I would be more excited about things starting to happen if LO were not breech.  As of today I am scheduled for a c/s.  Oh well.

I have been getting the internals since week 17 ... I only bled once - but that is because I was contracting.. and they were checking my cervical stich that I pulled through - the one resident blamed it on the 5 internals I had in 2 days - my dr blamed it on the contractions and stitch... You poor thing.... I hope they stop poking you so hard!!

I started going weekly this monday at 36wks 3days and will go again this coming monday at 37wks 3days, No they didn't check me at all. The only thing they did was take a culture to make sure i don't have an infection i can pass to the baby.  I was surprised they didn't since i told them i been having pressure pain and I have been spotting pink.
