Is this normal?

Hey ladies! I was wondering if it was normal to be at 21 weeks (actually started at 17-18 wks) and feeling really really strong outward kicks that you can actually see, and that actually almost have a feeling of discomfort. For example, last night he kicked me like once every 2 seconds for like 20 minutes....so hard that you could see my clothes flip up! My husband was there to see it too but he has no previous experience to know if it is normal. I just thought outside stuff came later. It's been going on since week 17-18  and progressively getting stronger and bigger. I never had the flutter/bubble phase, just full blown field goal kicks! Anyone else have this now or in a previous pregnancy?

yep I have been getting those and the other day I was at my moms house and my kids and her were watching the baby roll around and kick all over:) I had a stripped shirt on and you could see my stripes move then I lifted my shirt up and he put on a show. My belly got lop sided and everything from him. He is well Monday was 1lb 1oz. Girl and they only get harder and more intense the further you get:)

lol my daughter did that at around 20wks, and it just got stronger from there...she used to kick so hard she would actually move my whole body a bit...like I would be sitting and she would wallop me and I would kinda shift because she kicked so hard...

this one I'm just about 20wks and I feel him but it's nowhere near as strong yet as it was with my daughter...which of course makes me nervous but I';m a bit heavier than I was with her and I have been feeling him regularly since about 15-16wks just not as strong yet....oh well, it'll come and I'll miss the flutters lol.

I found during the u/s the other day why I always feel the strong movements just to the right of my belly button..that's where his feet are. So it might have something to do with where their legs happen to be as to how much you feel it.

I'm 20 weeks today and have been having the same thing. I swear this little one is a weight lifter LOL I started feeling small movements at 16w then it really changed fast and now for the past 2 weeks it's VERY obvious from the outside that he's moving. I don't remember ever being able to feel it from outside this early..but I don't have any of my old baby books or anything from before because of the hurricane. The kids love being able to feel him move. Sometimes he gets going and keeps it up for quite a while in the evening.

I'm just 19 weeks...I'm feeling much stronger movements, but not yet those you can feel outside.  Your little one must be a very healthy little one!  lol  If they were rythmic movements, he could have had the hiccups!  Enjoy...this is the fun part!
