I hope this isn't a m/c....

I am 8 1/2 weeks pregnant, and this morning when I woke up, I wasn't that nauseous. Every morning when I get upI am super nauseous and most mornings throw up once or twice. I was kinda shocked when I didn't even gag. So anyway, I was tired and went back to bed. A couple of hours later I got up, went to the bathroom, and there was some light pinkish discharge, just a little bit each time I wiped. (happened 3x) I remember my stomach feeling crampy when I was laying down, but I just thought since I was constipated it was nothing. But now my stomach feels weird, not completely crampy though. The last time I wiped it was a little bit of pink with a little bit of brown in it. :( I am really worried. I am trying to stay off of my feet, but I've been through this twice before, and I am scared to death.

The last time I had a m/c, I went in for an ultrasound and I was 7w 2d, saw a heartbeat but then miscarried at 10 weeks. This time I went in thinking I was 7w 6d and was 7w 2d, didn't think it was a big deal, but now I am worried that it will happen all over again. Spotting for me never seems to turn out good, but I am trying my best to stay positive. I called my hubby at work and then called my MIL and they both said I shouldn't worry and not to call the midwife unless it gets worse since I didn't have too much spotting. What do you think? Personally, I want to call them now and at least get a blood test, but I know it won't be cheap but I am just worried. And if I am miscarrying, I just want to know so I can prepare myself. I can't bear the thought of losing another child, not now, I am so run down. I just can't stop crying and want everything to be okay.

Chantal- I've been good.  I'm ready to see this reproductive endocrinologist to see where to go.  I've had problems b/c insurance and everything b/c its a fertility and reproductive endocrinologist together...insurance won't cover fertility stuff.  Work insurance STINKS!  I go on the 13th now instead of the 6th.   I am glad to hear everything is well!  I can't wait to hear about your new baby!  I'm thinking about you and a lot of others.

Kaylee- I hope your pregnancy is going well also.  You are super sweet and thanks for thinking of me!

Hey! So far, everything seems great, thankfully, other than the morning sickness. I am 13w and have had no more spotting. Apparently the placenta is very close to my cervix and that could have caused the spotting. It's also in front, so  It also makes it hard to hear the heartbeat. I just can't wait to have the anatomy scan around 18-20 weeks to make sure baby is okay. Never had one with my other pregnancies and my midwife is encouraging it this time around. i also will find out the gender as well.

How have you been? I think of you often. (((hugs)))

Gina, I know! A lot of people say it's probably gas, it's too early to feel anything yet, but I know these are flutters. I feel it in the same spot that I find the heartbeat and plus I now know the difference between gas and flutters now...lol  TMI
What kind of doppler do you have? I still find it very low, close to the pubic bone and sometimes I have press harder than normal to find out. When this one midwife tried to listen, I told her where to look for it and she even used my doppler, but she was barely and I mean barely pressing on my belly. This early you have dig a little more, but no worries!! Feeling flutters is just as reassuring! :)

mcp421~~ I really hope all works out with you! Easier said than done, but try not to stress too much. I now know that spotting can actually be somewhat normal in pregnancy, even though I never had it early on in my other pregnancies. Sometimes they say it's extra or old blood from implantation. I was also told that the placenta is very close to my cervix and that could cause some irritation and spotting. Please let us know how your appt. goes!

I haven't even gone to the doctors yet. My first appt is this tues so I pray that everything goes well. Is even more scarier for me bc I out of town right now. I think it sounds normal.  I think/hope you are still doing fine.  I had spotting with both of my pregnancies.  The first pregnancy I had heavy bleeding for 1 day followed by continued spotting for 5 days, then a couple weeks later had bright red bleeding.  That pregnancy resulted in my healthy dd (and I had no further complications).  This pregnancy I had pink and then brown spotting for 1 night.  That was over 2 weeks ago and I've seen the baby's heartbeat twice since then, so all seems fine.  It's completely normal to have spotting in good pregnancies (as well as bad, as you know).  I think the fact that your spotting went away is a great sign.  Best of luck to you.

Thanks GinaGi!

poppy21, thanks for sharing your story. I am still scared as tonight I had some more light spotting and my back aches! I also have horrible sciatic nerve pain as well which makes it very hard to walk pain free. I've never had spotting early on in pregnancy, except with my 2 miscarriages, but the spotting was a lot more than I am experiencing now. It's a brownish/pink and I wonder what would be causing it. I did have pre-term labor with my last pregnancy, just hoping it doesn't happen again this time around.

hello
Your just like me, iv been spotting on and off from 4 weeks till this day 8 weeks. Had bloods and u/s with everything saying all is good. I think it can be baby growing and attaching it's self to your insides. I too was cramping and stuff. after u/s at 7 weeks 3 days i was fine but now iv found somthing else to worry about.....cervix is very low. i dont think ou ever stop worrying.

Ah, Dear!!! So happy that you are fine!!! Fingures crossed for next US!!
I'm doing IVF and spotting/bleeding is very common for IVF-preggies... Here, in Russia, doctors tell us to monitor D-dimer 1-2 Times per week and, in case of spotting or bleeding take special tablets/injections of tranexam/ditsinon.

BTW, i'm spotting for The last 3 days-yesterday it was RED bloody spotting! Ditsinon stops that immediately, but i'm so scared.....

Thanks everyone. Everything seems to be just fine for the moment. I go for another U/S next week and had some labs drawn yesterday.

Kinochka, I'm not sure what any of those things are. =/

Do you take Ditsinon or Traneksam? What's your hemostase (d-dimer)?

Hey chantal. Just read your post, sorry you feel like this... But i think you should try to relax and not worry too much. I woke up on friday with like a light brown discharge and i panicked too but i went to bed for a couple of hours and it went away.  Whrn somethin like this happens the first thing we think of is m/c but its totally normal to spot at very early..try to relax and keep ur mind off of it...

I am praying for you girl.  I have never had that great of an experience spotting either.  If it would make you feel better then call the midwife.  It never hurts to be more safe than sorry.  I can't imagine what you have been through in the last year or so.  I pray that everything turns to be okay!
