Labour problems

Well I still know its a few months off but i cant seem to get this little naggning out of my head and i dont know what to do..
I live 3 and a bit hours from the closest hospital... the closest does not deliver babies and im convinced i will not make it driving while im in labout that far. When i had my DD i was in labour for a total of 4 hours.. Start to finish.. In four hours she was out and laying on my belly and seeing as this is my second everyone tells me it usually happens quicker.. What happens if i delive on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere. To make it worse there is no phone service at all untill u reach the town. So ill be stuck.

Do u think i should tell my dr this and get induced to stop the possibility from happening?
Im so scared!!

Yeah i agree, definitely discuss this with your doctor.
They say that the second happnes faster than the first so if you live 3 and a half hours away they should induce you in case it does happen really fast!!!

Definitely discuss it with your doctor. Maybe you guys can come up with some sort of a plan. With my second, I was in active labor for 4 hours as well, so I am thinking it may go faster this time around, but then again, every pregnancy is different as well. Are you aware of any midwives in your area? That could always be a good option if something comes up. (but I know not every state has midwives and it just depends) I use a midwife, so worst case scenario, if I don't make it to her birthing room for the delivery, she can always come to my house (if things happened that quickly)

i would talk to my doctor about this ,, but i peronally would be induced that way if there is any emergecny situation you are already in the hosptial or stay in a hotel the last few weeks in pregnancy ... i am going to be induced also because of my blood clotting disorders at 39 weeks .. good luck
