30 weeks today!!! YAHOOOOO!!!!

Im so excited to be in the last 10 weeks now :) Everyone is still telling me I am little for being 30 weeks. That is sure a good feeling. Ive been getting better sleep lately too which is nice. Not sure how that is happening but I am not going to complain!! I still have the nursery to paint but we got the baby bedding yesterday and I am so excited about it. It is very cute. Now I can go match colors for the room and start in on that. My birthday is on sunday and I had a total emotional break down yesterday because I feel like this is my last birthday that I can be a kid... So I told my mom I wanted an ice cream cake with ice cream cones stuck to the side like when I was little. I know sorta childish for an almost 27 year old but hey its the last year before I am technically a mom!! I have a feeling the next 10 weeks are going to fly by with all the birthdays we have before the baby is born... 6 birthdays plus my 1 year wedding anniversary :) I have no idea what we are going to do to celebrate considering I will be over 8 months pregnant by that time!!!

Yes it totally is!! :)  But I am excited about the journey that I am going to soon start.

The ice cream cakes my mom always made were just 2 regular round cakes cut in half (height wise) and frozen and then she would get a half gallon of ice cream and cut that into 3 equal parts. Then you start layering a layer of cake then a layer of ice cream then a layer of cake and so on until you have 7 layers total. (4 of cake and 3 of ice cream) You could always just do 1 cake though so its a little smaller. Its so fun to make cakes in shapes though and you could totally do it with a lady bug still. Just put the cake all together freeze it overnight so its good and solid and then make it into the shape of a lady bug and frost it would be super cute :) I did a monster truck for a friend a few years back with donut tires and a 2 tier golf green for my husband. They are so much fun to make :) I am totally looking forward to making cakes for my little girls birthday! I love to bake so it works out perfect.

lol thats cute about the birthday cake... its funny how much you do change after having kids...well for most ppl anyway lol but then you get to re live your childhood again thru your kids eyes... which is sooo awesome and you get to plan their birthdays and play toys with them ,sing nursery rhymes that you most likely forgot all about... its pretty awesome :) my mom made all my cakes for my birthday and some of them were just plain and decorated with candy, or had money in it... but were so fun and its fun to do that for my daughter...well not the money part yet lol... my SIL said i should get her an icecream cake this year?! Ok she is turning 2... im not BUYING her a cake?!  im gonna do a lady bug cake :)  well hoping to! her Bday is July 2nd 10 days before my csection and its Canada day weekend so im kinda thinkin that ill maybe have it after baby arrives so then my family can come and see baby as well :)

PS doesnt that sound crazy to write that your gonna be a MOM! im still in aww that im someones mommy! and its gonna be x2 soon!  Pretty exciting!!!
