Burning in throat

I got this burning sensation in my throat when I burp.  What is that?  Is that heart burn because it's making me cough too.

I know that familiar feeling. Its acid coming up in your throat. I always chew 3 tums and the feeling is gone in a matter of minutes, especially after a heavy meal.

I too have been expierancing heart burn the last week. I haven't had it a day in my life until now lol. Tums are my best friend. Hahahaha good luck. Everyone keeps telling me my son is going to have tons of hair. Lol he is half black half white, hell probably xome out with a little afro. Hahahaha

Thanks everyone, I though it was avoid reflux too but I think it's heart burn now.  I took done tums but they barely worked.  I just tried to sleep through it on like five pillows.

I've been dealing with heartburn lately too....I've had it after almost everything I eat for the last 3 days! Not fun!

sounds like heart burn to me i get the same thing take some zantack it works for me.

It sounds like reflux.  When you burp the stomach acid is being pushed up your esophagus.  It's making you cough because it's coming up high enough that it's reaching your trachea, which is your airway, so your body reacts to clear it by coughing.
