Well jacob was born on thursday june 28 at 11 24 am.
He has very severe hydrocephalus which is water on the brain. His case is very rare due to the very excessive amount of fluid. And iy causes the brain to become condensed under the pressure. After a shunt is in place to start draining the.fluid the amount of functionlity he.will hve is impossible to determine until he.reaches certin milestones

Congrats Momma! Very cute name!! and was for sure a big baby! Im really glad to hear that he is doing well so far and praying he hits those milestones with flying colors!!
Congratulations! My brother had severe hydrocephalus, but it was related to his spina bifida and they didn't know until birth. He had a shunt to drain the fluid into his abdomen where his body was able to eliminate it. He was mentally on par with all of his peers, but he needed a little extra help in school to stay there. He was also ADHD but that may or may not have been related to the hydrocephalus. He graduated hs on time and was able to hold jobs with no problem. Just my experience with him, it was a positive one. I wish you and your new family lots of health and happiness!
Congrats mama! He has a hard road ahead of him but your unconditional love will help him along his way!! That's great that he's able to do all basic functions on his own!! :)
Aww that is a lot of good news though!!! Being able to breath and go potty on his own is huge! So glad that the delivery went well. Prayers for your family as the drs work with him to eliminate the fluid in his brain. Hope you are doing well to as it is a lot to go thru right away for sure. My sisters son was born full term with no problems but ended up in the nicu for 2.5 weeks due to fluid in his lungs then his lung popping then his body not pumping blood and so on.. he is our little miracle baby also and he is a perfectly healthy 6 year old now... well other than the broken arm earlier this week but boys will be boys right :)
