What do you ladies take for acid reflux or heartburn?

I have gotten acid reflux SOOOO bad lately, to the point where it burns my throat. I've been taking 2 Tums a day. What works for you ladies?

Thank you! I love spicy food but that doesn't even sound yummy anymore. =S lol

Im sorry you have that!! I wish I could tell you what I do but for me its just the more tobasco the happy I am.... I didnt have morning sickness and so far no heart burn... My mom even got me a bottle of tums for a socking stuffer at Christmas and I have yet to use it.. Hope the DR willl give you something that will work.

I was going to ask my OB about Zantac, I have heard that some women with severe hearburn get on that. =)

I take tums as well but it doesnt help. My heartburn has progrssively getting worse especially at night time.

I've had it bad too!! Milk helps me some but now I'm getting constipated really bad from drinking so much of it!! I chew tums too! It just seems to be getting worse day by day!! I'm gonna talk with my doc @ my next appt n see if he will give me anything for it! I've stayed away from spicy foods, even tho I'm craving them a lot and I'm not a pop drinker either! This just stinks!!!

I've had acid reflux since my last pregnancy. Your doctor can give you omeprazole in pregnancy which help. If you dont want to take pill, don't eat anything spicy, no fizzy pops etc. Kept proped up in bed. Milk helps. Apparently drinking warm water helps but I've not wanted to try that xx

With this pregnancy I have had it bad!! I have been just taking tums also...I'm not much help but I wish I knew what worked best cause the tums only work 50% of the time for me.
