Thank you kfrasher!! Never heard of it....sounds a little scary!!
I was thinking Nuva Ring too. Sounds a lot easier- no pills to remember. I'd rather have a period too, sounds weird but true! lol
I could try rhythem method because I usually get ovulation pains but who knows how my cycle will be this time around, or when it'll even start up again.
I think am going with the implant, early in the pregnancy i talked to my Dr about getting it done at my 6 week check up and she says thats the earliest they will do it so that will work.... my friend just got the nuva ring... her dr made her wait a 3-4 months or so and she was on the low dose BC pill prior but she likes the idea of getting her period at a regular time each month and that she doesnt have to take the pill.... im still on the fence and am curious about maybe trying this first before the implant.... my fear is the cost of the implant... if it works for me then great! if it doesnt and i have to get it taken out then thats a big chunk of change gone...
@heather..Essure is a permenant procedure, a small coil is inserted into the fallopian tubes and you build up tissue around the coil to prevent pregnancy. It scares me cuz its permenant.!! I say I'm done, but then it makes me sad too!!! Prob the post baby hormones!! :-)
DH and I have talked about him getting snipped since it's such a big procedure for me to get tubes tied or anything. PLUS...I've done all the physical work so if his nads have to hurt for a few days so be it! lol
I've said time and time again that I don't want anymore. I have my boy and girl but part of me wants me to hold onto all my baby stuff. I don't have the heart to give my sons stuff up yet. I think we will give it a couple years.
In the meantime I'm not sure what I'll do. I'm bad at remembering pills too and birth control always throws my mental state off. DH doesn't have enough control for our pull out menthod...that's why we have a July 2012 baby! LOL I don't want an IUD...I've heard nothing but bad things from people.
WHat is essure?
Im just still waiting to have my baby lol... i havent even thought about that since when we found oiut we were having a girl my husband wanted to have a second right away.... we shall see..
My biggest issue with birth control, is most everyone I've ever talked to says abt weight gain! I have so much more to loose, I can't take something that's gonna make it worse! Plus I'm terrible at remembering pills too! And Essure kinda scares me!? I just don't know!???
@buggie216-have you thought about Essure? if and when I go the permanent way that what I'm considering.
@kfrasher-I know what you mean somedays I feel 2 is enough but then other days I feel 3 seems like a perfect #. Im not good at remembering to take things, during my pregnancy I had days where I forgot to take my prenatal. Also I heard a lot of negative things on the depo shot. Nuvaring, yaz,yazmin, have ads on tv for bad side effects.
@purplelush07-what were your side effects?
I had my 5w postpartum appt today...i dont know what to do either...part of me wants to get my tubes tied...but it seems so severe. Mind you i'm 37 have two beautiful girls and spent both pregnancies in the hosp on total bedrest...i feel blessed for my children and dobt think i can physically do another pregnancy...but i dont feel complete. UGH!
So glad u posted this! I've been wondering the same thing. I have 4 n feel like we are complete, but u just never know!?? :-) I've never used any kind of birth control so don't even know where to start!.?
I will be going back on the implanon next year when baby is here. It work the best out of all of them and i had no weight gain i loved it
