I swell sometimes and at my appt last Tuesday I wasnt swollen but my Bp was still slightly elevated so they sent me to l&d to be monitored. They told me if I have any swelling, headaches not better with Tylenol, nausea, or other symptoms related to pre-e to call my dr and go back to l&d

I'm swollen too!! It's happened to me at the end with each of my pregnancies! I just hold a lot of water the last few weeks! I'm starting to see it even in my face! My.lips look puffy!! Ugh..only 5 more days!! The worst was my 3 rd daughter, I felt like a water ballon!! She was born 2 wks after Easter that year, so all the ham had some to do with it too!! Watch ur salt intake!! ;-)

I was induced at 38w6d because my bp shot up.  I had no swelling or dizziness at all.  I just felt off.  Swelling of the face is a sign of preeclampsia as opposed to just swelling of the hands and feet.  Hope everything is good!

I called L&D And told me to just wait til my Dr appt today.....I don't feel dizzy or sick or see spots ....I've been on my feet all day the last.few days getting home together for her arrival plus its been super hot as well. I live very near a pharmacy I will go check my bp soon......jus hands feel tingly almost its very annoying feeling plus lower backpain throughout the night ...the nurse asked if I.slept on my back....I told her I'm too big to lay on my back iv ALWAYS slept on my left side thru each pregnancy as my tummy ALWAYS gets huge. Thanks for advice ladies :)

I've been having a problem with swelling (11lbs in 2 wks of water) but my bp is great. My doctor told me to keep an eye on my bp and not to worrie unless it's out of the norm. A phone call to ur doc doesn't hurt otherwise any pharmacy is always glad to check ur bp. Good luck!

That's true....the most important thing is your blood pressure in this case.
