Can't eat!

I'm 8 weeks pregnant today and I cannot eat, this is my first child and for the first 6weeks I was eating healthy portions every two hours then I started getting heartburn and constantly burping. In my 7th week I totally lost my appetite and everything I eat feels like it is stuck on my chest and causes me chest pain. I feel hungry and I know I need to eat but I just cannot swallow the food it takes me an hour to eat half of my plate my concern is that I was already 12lbs underweight prior to getting pregnant has this happened to anyone and could this be a form of morning sickness.

I had the same problem with heartburn and indigestion in the last pregnancy and I'm feeling the early symptoms this time round as well. Burping helps relieve the chest pain. I found Rennie or gaviscon worked wonders for me. If you can stomach the thought then try a glass of milk first thing before eating breakfast. Hope it eases soon for you.

I have no appetite but I just eat when I feel like it and I drink a lot of water and veggie juice. No heartburn but I am always burping and having feelings of indigestion. I'm sure it will pass. If you are underweight you definitely don't want to lose weight. Remember that your baby needs nutrition and it will take it from you if you don't eat enough! Stay healthy, eat more carbs and healthy snacks less empty calories like chips or soda. Good luck momma!
