flu shot?

Just a quick question.... Should I be getting a flu shot? I can't seem to get in contact with either of my doctors..

Be very careful that you are not sick or even too run down when you get it should you choose to.  I can't get it since I'm allergic...never had it and barely had the flu ever...so I'm not so sure I believe in it myself...but for me I don't have the choice...so...

I'm 6 weeks and I got mine last week as my obgyn recommended it very strongly. I chose to get a mercury-free one just to be safe.

With my letter appointment confirmation for my first scan I've got another letter saying they plan to give me the shot the same day unless I opt out. Gilkesy is right - if you have the option take it.

Yes. There is no evidence that the seasonal flu jab will harm you or your baby. The vaccine contains an inactivated virus which means you cannot become infected from it. Flu vabs are recommended for all pregnant women and women who are planning a pregnancy during the flu season (June to end of October). This is particularly important if you fall into a high-risk group, as flu could be very harmful.
